At Select Custom Solutions in La Crosse, WI, we are committed to nurturing positive environmental, social, and economic programs and working with responsible business partners.
SmartWay Certified
Since SmartWay’s launch in 2004, the program has helped its nearly 4,000 participating companies avoid emitting 143 million metric tons of carbon dioxide, 2.7 million short tons of nitrous oxide, and 112,000 short tons of particulate matter. These emissions reductions are important to protect people’s health and wellbeing in areas near ports, borders, and truck stops. La Crosse has been SmartWay certified since 2021.
Recycling Program
Select Custom Solutions partners with a local material recovery facility for waste management and recycling. This facility then converts recycled aluminum, cardboard, and plastic into energy used in La Crosse County and surrounding areas.
LED Lighting
95% of the lighting in La Crosse facility and its warehouses is LED. LED Lighting can save 60-70% improvement in overall energy efficiency.
Paperless
The La Crosse facility is paperless in most aspects of daily operations including formulation, pricing, receiving, approving, and confirming sales orders, placing PO’s, testing raw materials, blend sheets, batching product, QA checks, in-line production checks, production, testing finished product, invoicing customers, and receiving/applying payment.
Community Involvement
La Crosse is proud to support organizations and causes throughout our community including The Boys and Girls Club of Greater La Crosse, GROW La Crosse, Freedom Honor Flight, The La Crosse and Town of Campbell Police K9, and Steppin’ Out in Pink. Our employee community volunteers their time with Habitat for Humanity and area food banks and backs internal efforts supporting the homeless community and those in need during the Holiday season.
Pioneering the way forward for sustainability, Fair Oaks Farms has proven that using the waste from a dairy farm can be used to power that same farm and more. The excess electricity we produce is sold to the local power company where it is then used by those around us. We have taken that a step further and partnered with RUAN Trucking and have them use our CNG gas made from the manure to transport our milk to our customer’s plants. Many of our other Family Dairy Farm Members are close to Fair Oaks, and these trucks also haul all their milk. We have reduced the amount of diesel fuel used to haul our milk by over 2 million gallons.
Select Members participate 100% to the Farmers Assuring Responsible Management Program (FARM Program).

Select Custom Solutions Fulfillment Services offers an efficient and convenient way to get your finished products directly to your customers. We offer single-unit, case, and pallet-level pick and pack services shipped via parcel or LTL services.

Select Custom Solutions specializes in formulation to fulfillment contract manufacturing services. Our team provides expert guidance and customized solutions to meet unique functional and nutritional requirements. We offer direct access to our in-house Food Technologists, Innovation labs, and pilot plant facilities to assist with product development and formulation
